Hearing on the merits of the criminal case against Promes will take place in March 2023
The first hearing on the merits of the criminal case against Spartak Moscow striker Quincy Promes will take place on March 3, 2023, De Telegraaf journalist Maria de Jong reports on Twitter.
On Friday, a pre-trial hearing was held in an Amsterdam court. Promes was not present at the meeting “due to work abroad.”
The prosecutor’s office of the Netherlands in November 2021 charged the 30-year-old football player. He is charged with grievous bodily harm and attempted murder. According to prosecutors, in July 2020, Promes attacked his cousin with a knife after a party.
In June, a civil court ordered Promes to pay monetary compensation to the victim.
