Spartak and representatives of Balde decided not to appeal the disqualification of the Senegalese striker
A spokesman for Spartak striker Keita Balde Federico Pastorello told Sport24 that his client and the club had made a joint decision not to challenge the player’s disqualification.
In connection with the violation of the doping control procedure while playing for Cagliari, the Senegalese Balde, who joined Spartak in August as a free agent, was disqualified by the National Anti-Doping Court of Italy until December 5. Under the terms of the disqualification, he will be able to return to the training process no earlier than 22 days before the expiration of the sentence.
“Spartak and I decided not to appeal. It’s too late. We don’t want and don’t see any point in it,” Pastorello said.
