Talalaev reported problems with the psychology of the players “Torpedo”

The new head coach of the Moscow “Torpedo” Andrey Talalaev admitted that the team has problems with psychology.

– Your phrase after Lokomotiv: “For a long time I have not seen such that one player took the ball in his own half, ran half the field and scored like in the yard.” Is this an isolated incident or a systemic protection level problem?

– We must immediately make a reservation: in the last five matches, Torpedo did not have the same line of defense. Moreover, we lost the players who played the most matches: Netfullin and Kutepov. Rather, the rule worked: it is impossible to defend well when you do not score. In the first half, Lokomotiv once dangerously threatened the goal in the end, and we had three scoring chances. If they had scored, the game would have gone very differently.

There is a problem with psychological confidence. The players just don’t have it. The worst thing is not the conceded goal, but the reaction to it: we could not approach the opponent’s penalty area for 12 and a half minutes. Adult football players should not react like that, – Talalaev told Sport24.
