Haaland’s agent believes the striker will be the first player with a transfer fee of one billion
Rafaela Pimenta, representing the interests of Erling Haaland, expressed confidence that the Manchester City striker could become the record holder in terms of transfer costs.
“If you add football value, image rights and how you can get sponsors, Haaland is worth at least a billion. This is comparable to Mbappe, such numbers turn out to be normal in our time. I think he will be the first player whose transfer will be about a billion,” Pimenta said.
The current transfer record in the history of football is 222 million euros, paid when Neymar moved to PSG from Barcelona in 2017.
