“Torch” with ten men escaped defeat in the RPL match with “Rostov” thanks to a penalty in the 97th minute

Rostov played a draw with Fakel Voronezh in the match of the 14th round of the MIR of the Russian Premier League (RPL).

The meeting took place in Voronezh and ended with the score 1:1. The hosts responded to Danil Glebov’s goal (50th minute) with an accurate shot by Georgiy Gongadze from the penalty spot in stoppage time of the second half. The player scored in the 97th minute.

In the 31st minute, the hosts failed to convert a penalty, Pesyakov parried the ball after Maksim Maksimov’s shot, and Irakli Kvekveskiri, who played on the rebound, ran into someone else’s penalty area before the 11-meter kick was taken.

At the end of the first half, Fakel remained in the minority, Oleg Dmitriev received a direct red card.

Rostov scored 26 points and climbed to 2nd place in the RPL standings. Fakel (12) is in 13th place.
