Khimki invited a priest to the home stadium to remove the “curse” from the team
The Khimki football club near Moscow invited a priest to the home stadium last week, according to the Match TV website.
The team hasn’t won since August 7th. The clergyman visited the locker rooms, as well as the football field, to “remove the curse” after unsuccessful performances. At the moment, Khimki’s unbeaten streak is 14 matches in all tournaments, on Sunday the Moscow Region team lost to Spartak in the 14th round of the WORLD RPL with a score of 0:5.
Khimki are on the 15th line of the RPL standings. Now the team is headed by Spartak Gogniev.
In the next round on October 29, Khimki will play away with Dynamo Moscow.
