Owen named the best coach and player of his career
Former Liverpool, Real Madrid, Manchester United and England striker Michael Owen called Alex Ferguson the best coach he has ever played under. The Briton also singled out Zinedine Zidane, calling him the best player he has ever played with.
I have played under several great coaches. We can note Glenn Hoddle, Gerard Houllier. But one of the best specialists of all time is Alex Ferguson. To train for 26 years and be at the top is just amazing, with all the changes that are happening. You have to change as a person as well. So I think Alex Ferguson was the best coach of my career.
The best player I’ve played with? I always answer when I am asked this question that it is Zinedine Zidane, — quotes the words of Owen The Mirror.
Owen spent three seasons under Ferguson at Manchester United, scoring 17 goals in 52 appearances in all competitions and winning his only Premier League title.
