Former Zenit goalkeeper Vyacheslav Malafeev spoke highly of former teammate defender Alexander Anyukov.
– Shirokov said that Anyukov was stronger than Mario Fernandez in his best years? Sasha Anyukov is a very strong football player. One of the strongest I have ever played with. I will not speak out which of them is stronger or better. But Sasha and I spent many years in the same team – at the same time we achieved great results. I will give my preference to him, – quotes the words of Malafeev “Championship”.
Malafeev and Anyukov played together for Zenit from 2005 to 2016.
