“I hope Pavlyuchenko will pass on his experience to the younger generation” – Hiddink

Former head coach of the Russian national team Guus Hiddink expressed the hope that Roman Pavlyuchenko, who completed his professional career, would pass on his experience to the younger generation.

On Thursday, the bronze medalist of the 2008 European Championship Pavlyuchenko told Match TV about his retirement at the age of 40.

– It must be admitted that Pavlyuchenko had a long career. He played a very important role in decisive matches. I hope he will pass on his experience and pass on his personal qualities to the younger generation, – Hiddink is quoted by RB Sport.

Pavlyuchenko throughout his career played for the Stavropol Dynamo, Volgograd Rotor, Yekaterinburg Ural, Moscow Spartak, Lokomotiv and Ararat, Krasnodar Kuban. From 2008 to 2012, the striker played for Tottenham Hotspur.

Pavlyuchenko is a bronze medalist of the 2008 European Championship as part of the Russian national team, a two-time winner of the Russian Cup. The footballer twice became the top scorer of the national championships.
