The Russian defender of the German “Sandhausen” Alexander Zhirov said he did not understand why he was not given the opportunity to prove himself in “Krasnodar”.
Zhirov moved to the Krasnodar team in 2017, but did not play for the first team of the club even once. In 2018, he became a football player for the German Sandhausen.
– In Krasnodar, I was left with an understatement, because I was not allowed to play. It was a very difficult time for me. I was taken before the World Championships, I signed a long-term contract. I still don’t understand why a couple of months later they told me that I was not needed. Everyone was given a chance, everyone played, but not me. Then there were several proposals. I chose, I decided to go to Krasnodar, but in the end it turned out like this, – Zhirov told the Championship.
This season, 31-year-old Zhirov scored 3 goals in matches for his club.
