Palmeiras won the Brazilian Football Championship for the 11th time in history.
The club won the title ahead of schedule after the defeat of Internacional from America Mineiro (0:1) in the 35th round of the championship. Later, the team from Sao Paulo defeated Fortaleza 4-0 in a home match.
Three rounds before the end of the championship, Palmeiras is 13 points ahead of the closest pursuer Internacional.
Since January, Murilo, the former defender of Lokomotiv Moscow, has been playing for the Greens.
Palmeiras became the champion of Brazil for the first time since 2018.
