The second places in their groups were taken by PSV (Netherlands), Rennes (France), Rome (Italy), Union (Germany), Manchester United (England), Midtjylland (Denmark), Nantes (France) and Monaco (France). These teams will play the play-offs against teams that have finished third in the Champions League. These include:
Ajax (Netherlands), Bayer (Germany), Barcelona (Spain), Salzburg (Austria), Sevilla (Spain), Sporting CP (Portugal), Shakhtar (Ukraine) and Juventus (Italy).
8 group winners reached the 1/8 finals of the Conference League: Istanbul Basaksehir (Turkey), West Ham (England), Villarreal (Spain), Nice (France), AZ (Netherlands), Djurgården (Sweden), Sivasspor (Turkey), Slovan (Slovakia).
8 teams progressed to the play-offs, finishing second in their quartets: Fiorentina (Italy), Anderlecht (Belgium), Lech (Poland), Partizan (Serbia), Dnipro-1 (Ukraine), Gent (Belgium), CFR (Romania ), Basel (Switzerland). These teams will play the play-offs against teams that have finished third in the Europa League. These include:
“Bude-Glimt” (Norway), “AEK»Larnaca (Cyprus), Ludogorets (Bulgaria), Braga (Portugal), Sheriff (Moldavia), Lazio (Italy), Karabakh (Azerbaijan), Trabzonspor (Turkey).
The Europa League play-off draw will take place on 7 November, the round of 16 draw on 24 February.
