Social media users laughed above the statue of Bayern striker and Senegal national football team Sadio Mane.

The statue was designed and created by an artist in the player’s hometown of Bambali. The author depicted a football player celebrating a goal in a national team jersey.

— A fan made a wooden statue for Sadio Mane. He did his best,” wrote one user.

Another fan noted that “the statue is afraid that it is a statue of Sadio Mane.”

Seriously, who are these fake sculptors? asked another user.

“What a shame… I hope they didn’t give him that statue.” He would be horrified,” wrote the fan.

Mane moved to Bayern Munich from Liverpool this summer. This season he has made 21 appearances in all competitions, scoring 11 goals and providing three assists. In 2019, the striker was named the best African player of the year.
