The head coach of Roma José Mourinho commented on the defeat of his team in the Serie A match against Lazio (0: 1).
This match lacked clarity, the abundance of emotions hindered progress towards the goal. It is difficult to play against an opponent who manages his playing time wisely. It was hard for us without Dybala and Pellegrini.
Roma’s defeats against their direct opponent were unfair. Atalanta scored the goal only once, but managed to win. We were the ones who gave Napoli the most discomfort. Lazio scored half a goal today, that’s enough. They are undeserved defeats. But today we lacked not only the goals scored, but also the team play, our actions with the ball were primitive. We didn’t take any risks in a one-on-one game, especially when it comes to attacking players.
With such a density of games, our injuries are absolutely logical. These are people, not robots. I don’t have many players who will take part in the World Cup and, fortunately, this will not affect us as much as the other teams.
