Zenit goalkeeper Daniil Odoevsky supported his teammate defender Dmitry Chistyakov, who was withdrawn from the main team after the match of the 16th round of the WORLD RPL against Grozny Akhmat.
Zenit lost to Akhmat 1-2 on Saturday at home, and Chistyakov’s mistake led to the second goal against the hosts. Zenit head coach Sergei Semak replaced Chistyakov in the 32nd minute of the match. On Sunday, Zenit CEO Alexander Medvedev told Match TV that Chistyakov had been removed from the main team.
Odoevsky published a photo of Chistyakov on his page in social networks and left a caption: “Clean, with you. Open, honest and real.”
Earlier, Chistyakov was supported on social networks by another Zenit goalkeeper, Mikhail Kerzhakov. “They discredit and offend your honor not as a football player, but as a person,” wrote the goalkeeper.
In addition, Chistyakov was supported by former Zenit players Alexander Kerzhakov, Magomed Ozdoev and Luka Djordjevic.
