Zenit defender Dmitry Chistyakov on a social network addressed with words of gratitude to his teammates, thanking them for their support.
On November 5, Zenit lost at home to Akhmat Grozny (1:2) in the home match of the 16th round of the WORLD RPL. Chistyakov’s mistake led to the second goal against the hosts. Zenit head coach Sergei Semak replaced Chistyakov in the middle of the first half, and Zenit CEO Alexander Medvedev told Match TV that the defender was removed from the main team.
On Monday, Match TV became aware that on Tuesday the footballer would return to the main team again. Chistyakov was supported in social networks by many club partners, for example, Daler Kuzyaev, Mikhail Kerzhakov and Dejan Lovren.
Guys, thank you for supporting me in difficult times! For myself, I want to say that I played my worst match, I realize this, and I promise to work on myself and improve.
I am devoted to the city and my team! Thanks to teammates, thanks to the fans, thanks to the family, I really appreciate it, – Chistyakov wrote.
This season, the 28-year-old player has played five matches for Zenit in the WORLD of the RPL without scoring.
In addition, on October 7, the RFU published the final composition of the Russian national team for the upcoming November training camp, during which Valery Karpin’s team will play with Tajikistan (November 17) and Uzbekistan (November 20). Initially, Chistyakov was present in the extended application for the camp, but did not make it to the final version of the squad.
