Eduard Bagrintsev, a former midfielder of the Russian youth team, a graduate of CSKA Moscow, decided to play for the Armenian national team and has already applied for Armenian citizenship.
– I applied for an Armenian passport. I really look forward to being called up to the Armenian national team,” Metaratings.ru quoted Bagrintsev as saying.
As Match TV learned, the 19-year-old football player personally came to Armenia to apply for Armenian citizenship, which he hopes to receive in the near future. The player will not take part in the training camp of the national team, during which the Armenians will play guest friendly matches with the teams of Kosovo (November 16) and Albania (November 19).
At the end of the summer, Bagrintsev moved from CSKA to the Slovak Dubnitsa, but the agreement provides for the option to buy back the player’s transfer.
