Argentina head coach Lionel Scaloni expressed his wish that Lionel Messi try to play at the next World Cup after the upcoming one in Qatar.
Earlier, the 35-year-old Messi said that he considers the 2022 World Cup as the last such tournament in his international career.
— This may be his last World Cup, but I hope it’s not. He is happy on the field. If we take care of him the way we should, he’ll probably get more games because the fans want him to keep playing. We have to make sure he feels comfortable on the field,” the coach said on CNN radio.
Argentina at the upcoming World Cup 2022 starts with a match with Saudi Arabia. The game is scheduled for November 22nd.
