Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has expressed the opinion that Cristiano Ronaldo should not change the Premier League to the North American MLS in the winter transfer window.
“I think the coach handled Ronaldo’s problem incredibly well. He showed his authority by removing a player from the team, as well as the way he brought Ronaldo back.
I don’t think it will be easy for Cristiano to leave in January. Everyone knew that he wanted to leave in the summer. I don’t think he’s going to go into the Mickey Mouse League (MLS) because he’s still very motivated. Ronaldo wants to score goals in Europe, be the top scorer and play in the best leagues. I don’t see him in MLS or Qatar,” Overlap quoted Carragher as saying.
Ronaldo has played 10 matches in the Premier League this season, scoring one goal.
