“Without European cups, everything that is not first place is not very good” – Fedun on the results of Spartak in the first part of the season

The former chairman of the board of directors of Spartak, Leonid Fedun, spoke about the results of the team in the first part of the season, noting that the quality of the game suits fans of the red-whites.
After 17 rounds of the WORLD RPL, the Moscow club is second in the standings, six points behind the leading Zenit.
– Is the second place of Spartak in the first part of the RPL season good or not? If we had the Champions League, it would be just fine. And without European Cups, everything that is not first place is not very good. But I think our fans are happy. The main thing is that the team plays well,” Fedun said to the “Championship”.
Last season, Spartak took 10th place in the Russian Championship and won the Russian Cup. From the new season, Spanish specialist Guillermo Abascal has been the head coach of the team.
Russian clubs and national teams, by decision of UEFA, have been suspended from participation in European competitions due to the situation in Ukraine.
