Thuram was called up to the France national football team at the World Cup, Disasi will replace Kimpembe
Paris Saint-Germain defender Presnel Kimpembe will not play for the French national football team at the World Cup in Qatar, according to the press service of the tricolors.
As noted, Kimpembe, who recently recovered from injury, believes that he is not ready to help the team. The decision that the PSG player will miss the tournament was made after consultations between the head coach of the French national team Didier Deschamps, footballer and team doctor Franck Le Gall. Kimpembe will be replaced by AS Monaco defender Axel Disasi.
In addition, Deschamps called up Borussia Monchengladbach striker Markus Thuram to the national team.
The French national team will begin their performance at the World Cup with the Australian team on November 22. France’s other group opponents will be Denmark (November 26) and Tunisia (November 30).
