The former head coach of Rubin Rinat Bilyaletdinov called the departure of Leonid Slutsky from the Kazan club illogical.
On Tuesday, the 51-year-old specialist left the post of head coach of Rubin of his own free will.
– Probably, this is an unexpected decision, because there were different moments in Rubin. The team flew out, during the season they lost 0:6, 1:6, 0:3. Even when Rubin finally took off, the relationship remained unchanged. After the departure, it would seem that everything, but the trust turned out to be on top – perfect, I don’t even remember this. This is a good example of trust.
Yes, this season the team was slipping, but it is impossible to say that this is a failure. Yes, they lost points, but then they got them – everything was somehow compensated. Somewhere we played two goals against Baltika in the penultimate round, somewhere we conceded at home, but on the road they took our toll. Everything was compensated. There is no separation, the team went quite smoothly. Of course, everyone was waiting for a gap from the first place, maximum from the second.
It would seem that there are two rounds before the winter break, you can complete the squad, prepare, move on, but something happened. We don’t know, we can only guess. I see this decision as illogical, because that year I stayed, and here is such a decision. This begs the question: what was the solution? If not for a hot head, then not for a cold head – that’s for sure. Somehow a decision was made quickly without much thought. Maybe something will come up, but not in the form of conjectures, but will say, explain why. There were no grounds, the team shares the third-fifth place, – quotes Bilyaletdinov “Championship”.
At the end of last season, Rubin left the RPL. In the 2020/21 season, Kazan under the leadership of Slutsky became the fourth in the Russian championship.
Rubin is fourth in the MELBET First League standings with 31 points.
