Former Spartak coach Raul Riancho told Sport24 that he was sympathetic to the decision of the organizers of the upcoming World Cup in Qatar to ban the sale of beer in stadiums.

Earlier, FIFA announced that the sale of alcoholic beer was prohibited in the stadiums of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The drink will only be available to football fans at Doha fan parks.

– I respect the law on the prohibition of alcohol at the World Cup in Qatar. If an athlete or fan comes to Russia, Qatar or any other country, then the traditions and rules of the host state must be respected. It’s about respect! If it is not there, then you cannot be considered a participant in the World Cup. That’s why the organizers need problems with the British, Germans or Russians who can come to Qatar and get drunk? Riancho said.

The World Cup will be held in Qatar from November 20 to December 18.

The Match TV channel became the exclusive owner of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Russia. As part of an agreement with FIFA, Match TV received the opportunity to broadcast live, use fragments of games on television, broadcast and use highlights on digital platforms, as well as sell advertising inventory in broadcasts. All 64 matches of the tournament will be shown on the platforms of Match TV channels.
