Wolf Zabivak, who is the mascot of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, took part in the mascot parade at the opening ceremony of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Earlier, at the request of the International Football Federation (FIFA), the mascot was removed from the presentation video of the world championship in Qatar. However, Zabivaka was later returned to the list of tournament mascots.
The opening match of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar started at 19:00 Moscow time on Sunday, November 20, at the El Bayt Stadium, where the hosts of the tournament host the team of Ecuador.
