Head coach of Denmark Kasper Julmann shared his expectations from his team at the World Cup in Qatar.
Of course, as a small country, we are proud that we managed to reach the semi-finals of the Euro. But we are not just satisfied with this. We have to move forward. We have to work harder.
We have things to improve. But our philosophy is clear: we want to attack, score and enjoy the game, because football is fantastic and the Danes love to have fun too. And every time we play, the whole country is behind us. Every time we play, it’s a big party.
The coach also spoke about the midfielder Christian Eriksenreturned to football after suffering cardiac arrest in the opening match of Euro 2020 with Finland.
He is the best player in Denmark. He is only 30 and perhaps his best football is yet to come. First of all, his presence here is a great stimulus for everyone. He’s been dead for five minutes and now he’s here. He survived and is with us again.
Christian has a huge influence on and off the pitch. He is an excellent footballer. But to me he’s still a great person.
