The Cameroon national team played a draw with the Serbian team in the second round match of the group stage of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The meeting of group G at the arena “El-Janoub” in the city of Wakra ended with a score of 3:3.

The scoring was opened by Cameroonian defender Jean-Charles Castelletto in the 29th minute, who completed his team’s combination after a corner kick.

In the first minute added to the first half, the Serbs bounced back. Strahinja Pavlovich took advantage of a set-piece by Dusan Tadic, who just hit his head from outside the penalty area. Before the break, Serbia also took the lead, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic in the third added minute struck from the penalty area, which Cameroon goalkeeper Davis Mboka Epassi could not cope with.

In the 53rd minute, the combination performed by the Serbian team was completed with a goalkeeper Aleksandar Mitrovic, for whom this goal was the 51st for the national team.

Cameroonian striker Vincent Abubakar took the ball on the verge of offside in the 63rd minute and outplayed Serbian goalkeeper Vanya Milinkovic-Savic. Three minutes later, Abubakar scored an assist to Erik Maxim Choupo‑Motinga, who completed a quick counterattack from Cameroon.

After two rounds, Cameroon and Serbia have one point each in the Group G table. On Monday, November 28, at 19:00 (Moscow time), another match of the second round in this group between Brazil and Switzerland will take place. Both of these teams have three points each.
