The football player of the Samara “Wings of the Soviets” Yuri Gorshkov explained why he was recovering from an injury for a long time.
– They talked about two or three weeks of recovery so as not to tell the whole truth about the injury – so that the opponents thought that I would play in the next round. The recovery was hard. After two or three weeks, every week I tried to come back, tried to train at full strength. Each time I hoped that I would be able to take part in the game. But it did not work, there was discomfort and pain.
It’s all behind now. When I got injured, I could put aside all thoughts of returning and say: I’m already on vacation and not preparing for the remaining matches. But I, on the contrary, wanted to return as soon as possible. For myself, there was a setting – let it be two or three games, but as much as I can, I will play as many. The game is fun.
There was good support from the club: from the coaching staff and management. Everyone was waiting for me. I am glad that I managed to play in the match with Spartak, – Gorshkov said to the Championship.
