Flick: “We can only blame ourselves. We’ve had enough moments.”

Germany coach Hans Dieter Flick after the match of the 3rd round of the group stage world Cup-2022 with Costa Rica (4:2) commented on the absence of the national team in the playoffs of the tournament.

Germany failed to qualify from the group for the second consecutive World Cup. This happened for the first time.

The disappointment is huge. I can’t blame Spain. I never look at other teams. We have only ourselves to blame, we had enough chances, especially in the match against Japan and also against Spain at the end of the game.

Will I retire? We’ll sort it out, now it’s hard to answer right after the game when we got busted. We’ll see soon.
