Mostovoy: “I don’t believe that the Spaniards chose a lighter net for the 2022 World Cup. Think for yourself, decide for yourself”

Former player of the Russian national team Alexander Mostovoy believes that the Spaniards could not specifically lose to the Japanese in the group stage match of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar in order to get to the Morocco team in the 1/8 finals of the tournament.

The Spanish national team on Thursday lost to the Japanese with a score of 1:2 in the match of the third round of the group stage of the World Cup in Qatar. The Japanese team scored six points and advanced to the playoffs from the first place in Group E, the Spaniards with 4 points became the second. In the 1/8 finals, the Asian team will play with the Croatian national team, the Spanish team – against the Moroccans.

– I do not believe that the Spaniards chose a lighter net for themselves. But yesterday, an hour before the game, I talked with many journalists and friends. Told them I wouldn’t be surprised if Spain could pull this off. As the game progressed, we began to see it. I was asked why I think so? Let’s do this: you go to Croatia from the first place – is it weaker than Morocco? No. I repeat once again: I do not believe that Spain chose its opponent. But it happened.

The Japanese scored the second half an hour before the end of the match. Hammer Spain one more, the Germans would go further. But nothing of the kind happened, it leads everyone to some thoughts. It turned out like in a song: think for yourself, decide for yourself, – quotes Mostovoy “Championship”.
