The head coach of the Moldovan national team Alexander Kurtiyan explained why the German national team did not get into the playoffs of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
In group E, the Germans lost to the Japanese team (1:2), drew with the Spaniards (1:1) and beat the Costa Ricans (4:2). The team took third place in the quartet and failed to reach the playoffs for the second tournament in a row.

— And teamwork is not enough, and quality. The guys who came to the national team do not yet show a high class.

– There’s a shock. They were confident in the first half of the match with Japan that their team would take another title.
– Were you surprised that it was the Japanese in this group who climbed into the first place?
– I was surprised that they beat the Spaniards. And so, the quality of the game they have good. In the first half of the match with Germany, the Japanese respected the opponent too much, and after the break they decided: stop respecting Germany, you need to respect yourself. And turned the tide of the match.
– Some suspected Spain and Japan of conspiring to “merge” Germany.
– Well, how do you imagine it? I can not imagine. For Spain, any defeat from Japan is a tragedy. A slap in the face, a strong humiliation.
– Regarding Germany, one can still hear such an opinion: they say, it will again become a “machine” as soon as players of other bloodlines are no longer taken to the national team.
