Former Dynamo defender Vitaly Dyakov noted that the French team reached the quarterfinals of the World Cup in Qatar without any problems.
At the stage of the 1/8 finals, the French defeated Poland (3:1) and will play with England in the quarterfinals.
– Poland had one moment at the end of the first half when Lloris pulled the ball. It’s the only thing they had to cling to. And so, I think, no chance. The French are more classy, organized, individually strong players than the Poles. Therefore, everything is deserved, everything is according to the game. I watched Poles with Argentina. They didn’t play football there at all. Basically the same thing happened today. The French went to the quarter-finals on an easy way, – said Vitaly Dyakov.
– How can you evaluate the performance of the Polish team at the World Cup?
– Getting to the World Cup is already a success. Leaving the group is a success. If you judge by the quality of the game… In fact, they played one match with the Saudis, and then the opponent did not score a penalty (Poland won with a score of 2:0). Mexico was a dull game. With Argentina and even more so. Today is the same. The Poles did not have to count on anything. They made the most of it.
– Do you think that the head coach of the Polish national team, Cheslav Mikhnevich, deserved to continue working in the national team?
– If you come to the World Cup, then you are either a winner or a loser. Come and play anti-football… Don’t even try to play. For me, it would be better if the Mexicans left the group, and it was much more interesting. They missed one ball.
– Can we say that Brazil – France – is the final of the dream?
– Probably, the dream semi-final is Brazil – Argentina. Now they think about it more than about the final. I would also not write off the Portuguese. They have a very cool team, – quotes the words of Dyakov “RB Sport”.
