British police have arrested two men who may be involved in the robbery of the home of England striker Raheem Sterling. This was reported by the Daily Mail.
Earlier it became known that the robbers entered the house of a football player in Surrey last Saturday, December 3. Sterling learned of the incident early Sunday morning. It is alleged that the player’s wife and child were in the house at the time of the robbery.
Sterling left the England squad in Qatar ahead of the 2022 World Cup round of 16 clash with Senegal. Head coach Gareth Southgate did not rule out that the player will return to the national team and still play in the World Cup.
The England team reached the quarter-finals of the World Cup, where they will play with the French.
