Former Liverpool and Brazil international Lucas Leyva is suffering from heart problems.
The 35-year-old has been diagnosed with a potential heart problem during a routine check-up with his current club Gremio.
– We want to inform the public that Lukas Leyva had to suspend training due to the strange rhythm of his heartbeat. For this reason, he temporarily interrupts performances to carry out all the tests that are necessary, the Gremio press service reports.
Lucas made 247 Premier League appearances for Liverpool in 10 years. In 2017, he was sold to Lazio. In the summer, the footballer left the Romans, and then signed a contract with Gremio.
