Khimki Moscow Region midfielder Alexander Zuev held talks with the Kazakhstan Football Federation regarding a possible performance for the Kazakhstan national team, Metaratings.ru reports.
According to the source, if Zuev decides to change citizenship, in 2023 he will be able to play for Kazakhstan.
The 26-year-old football player was born in Kazakhstan, in the city of Kostanay, where he played football in the Tobol system. In 2005, the Zuev family moved to Chelyabinsk, Russia.
Previously, the midfielder played for Spartak Moscow, Samara Krylya Sovetov, Rostov and Rubin. He played 14 matches for the youth national team of Russia and scored four goals.
