Vyalbe spoke about a sleepless night due to the final of the World Cup
Elena Vyalbe, president of the Russian Ski Racing Federation, said she spent a sleepless night watching the World Cup final in Qatar.
Vyalba is currently at the Russian-Chinese Games in Changchun. In the final match of the 2022 World Cup, Argentina defeated the team of France – 3:3 (pen. 4:2).
– Almost all night I did not sleep, I watched the final of the football world championship. Crazy match, crazy final! It’s hard to remember something like that. I personally rooted for Lionel Messi, and, therefore, for Argentina. He needed this championship cup like no one else. Lionel played a great match, against the backdrop of such a powerful opponent, once again proving what an outstanding player he is. I confess, I feel sorry for Cillian Mbappe. The guy scored a hat-trick in the World Cup final, scored in a penalty shoot-out and did not become a champion … That’s why sports are interesting when this happens. But Messi deserved it, because this is his last world championship, – said Vyalbe “Championship”.
