Ivelin Popov believes that the Russian team could reach the 1/8 finals of the 2022 World Cup

Levski midfielder Ivelin Popov told RB Sport that the World Cup final in Qatar was the best he had ever seen.
Also, the former midfielder of the Moscow “Spartak” and “Sochi” spoke about the theoretical chances of the Russian team in the last tournament.
The Argentina national team defeated the French team in the final match of the 2022 World Cup. Regular time ended with the score 2:2. Angel Di Maria and Lionel Messi scored against Argentina, while Kylian Mbappe scored against the French. In extra time, Messi also scored for Argentina, while Mbappe scored for France for the third time. In the penalty shootout, the Argentine players were more accurate – 4:2.
“This is the best World Cup final I have ever seen. But in general, at this tournament, I personally was rooting for Croatia. As for the Russian national team, I think the team could reach the 1/8 finals, – said Popov.
