The head coach of “Aris” said that Kokorin is not playing due to a microtrauma
Aris head coach Alexei Shpilevsky said that Russian forward Alexander Kokorin missed the last games in the Cypriot championship due to a microtrauma.
Kokorin missed three meetings of the national championship.
– Sasha has a microtrauma, – Shpilevsky is quoted by RB Sport. – She has been bothering him for a long time, she was present before. Maybe then it didn’t feel so strong. But then, four matches ago, he felt it, so they decided to keep it.
Now he has already begun to prepare in the general group, he has been training for two days. We miss him. But I want to see him in the best condition.
Will he be able to play in the next match?
– We want it. Let’s see if he comes out from the first minutes or as a replacement. But he will not be ready to the full in terms of mentality. Therefore, now it is difficult to say whether he will be able to spend all 90 minutes on the field.
In total this season, 31-year-old Kokorin scored five goals and made two assists in 10 games. He was recognized as the best player of “Aris” in October and November.
