Aris Russian forward Alexander Kokorin attended the World Cup matches in Qatar in the middle of the season in Cyprus because he had free time during his recovery from injury. This was reported to RB Sport by the head coach of the club Alexei Shpilevsky.
Kokorin missed the last three matches of Aris.
“At that time, he was individually recovering from a microtrauma,” Shpilevsky told RB Sport. – In addition, these days the team had days off. We discussed it with him, discussed everything.
– So he went to Qatar with your consent?
– Of course.
– You yourself did not want to go to the World Cup this month?
– I myself missed the last game of Aris because of the virus. Plus there is no time for anything. Need to work.
This season, Kokorin scored five goals and made two assists in 10 matches.
