Iniesta: “Those who don’t consider Leo the best will find an excuse to think further”

Former Spain and Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta considers the victory of the Argentine striker Lionel Messi the World Cup will not resolve the dispute over who is the greatest footballer in history:

For me he is already the best, regardless of winning the World Cup.

I think the championship made him really happy, more than others think. But it made not only him happy, but the whole of Argentina. This team has always been among the contenders and the way they have won makes the victory absolutely deserved.

I am sure that those people who did not consider Messi the best will find an excuse to continue to hold this opinion, regardless of whether he won the World Cup or not.
