Former Russian football player Valery Kechinov listed the teams that surprised and disappointed him the most at the end of the World Cup in Qatar.
Argentina won the 2022 World Cup after beating France on penalties in the final.
The Moroccans surprised me the most. For the first time in history, an African team reached the semi-finals. They could have competed for third place, but it was clear that they had no strength left.
The main disappointment was Spain, because after their start they were considered contenders for the gold of the World Cup. But it didn’t work out to get past the Moroccans, – quotes the words of Kechinov “Championship”.
