President of Barcelona Joanna Laporta spoke about the current state of affairs of the club in terms of finances.
The Treasury was in a very difficult situation. We were forced to ask for 600 million for debt restructuring. Now our debts are under control and our equity is in surplus, this is of great importance. We are adjusting payroll. We know what needs to be done.
The leverage we put in place over the summer has helped us build a stronger team. We are regaining prestige and authority in the world of football. As far as the Superleague is concerned, our position remains unchanged. We’re on the right track, but we haven’t done everything yet.
