Chervichenko named teams that disappointed him at the 2022 World Cup
The former president of Spartak Andrey Chervichenko told the Championship that at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar he was disappointed by the teams of Germany and Portugal.
– The biggest disappointment in the World Cup for me was the former European leaders like Germany. Portugal also has an unstable game – and the Dutch performed as I expected, Chervichenko said.
Germany failed to qualify from the group for the second time in a row at the World Cup, having missed the teams of Japan and Spain in the playoffs. The Portuguese national team dropped out at the quarterfinal stage, losing to the team of Morocco (0:1). The Netherlands also failed to reach the semi-finals, losing to future champions Argentina (2:2, 3:4 on penalties).
