Manchester City beat Liverpool to reach the quarter-finals of the English League Cup

Manchester City went through the 1/8 finals of the English League Cup by beating Liverpool 3-2 at home.
In the first half, the teams scored one goal each. The receiving side responded to Fabio Carvalho’s ball with a goal by Erling Haaland.
At the start of the second half, Manchester City took the lead – Riyad Mahrez scored. But a minute later, Mohamed Salah equalized. The winning goal in the meeting was scored by defender Nathan Ake in the 58th minute.
Manchester City’s opponent in the quarter-finals will be announced at a later date.
