Ex-football player of “Zenith” Dmitry Radchenko compared the striker of “Wings of the Soviets” Sergey Pinyaev with the former midfielder of St. Petersburg Andrey Arshavin.
18-year-old Pinyaev was named the best young football player of 2022.
– Pinyaev is a young, fast footballer. Arshavin and Pinyaev are diverse players. In order for Sergei to surpass Arshavin, you need to play well for the Russian team and be one of the leaders. Sergey needs to play not only for the national team, but also for the European club, which sets itself the highest goals. It will be very difficult for Pinyaev to beat Arshavin,” Radchenko told RB Sport.
