Former head coach of Lokomotiv and Khimki Igor Cherevchenko praised the appointment of Kurban Berdyev to Sochi.
70-year-old Berdyev twice led Rubin to the title of champion of Russia and two more times became a bronze medalist with Kazan. The specialist has been working in Kazakhstan and Iran for the last three years.
– Appointment of Berdyev in Sochi is positive. I don’t think that his three-year absence from the MIR RPL will somehow affect his work. And what has changed in three years in Russian football? Nothing changed. I think that Berdyev is aware of all events. Moreover, he has a lot of experience.
Why the leadership of Sochi stopped on this candidate, you need to ask them. Before the resumption of the championship is still enough time. Kurban Bekievich will have the opportunity to hold a full-fledged training camp. So only the result will show whether such a choice of Sochi residents is correct, Cherevchenko said to Vprognoze.ru.
