Sochi under Kurban Berdyev will rise higher in the WORLD RPL standings, says ex-player of Rubin Andrei Fedorov.
On Sunday, Sochi announced the appointment of Berdyev. The 70-year-old specialist will take up his duties in the new year.
– I am sure that Sochi under Berdyev will only rise higher in the standings – the coach is an experienced one. Now it will sound strange, but at the end of the season, Sochi may well end up in the European Cup zone.
Is the appointment connected with the possible transfer of the RFU to the Asian Confederation? I don’t think. And it seems to me that we will not go to Asia,” Fedorov told Metaratings.ru.
In the standings of the WORLD RPL “Sochi” after 17 rounds with 25 points takes ninth place.
Berdyev previously led Rubin Kazan twice to the championship in the Russian championship.
