“Schlegel has offers from Italy, but Rodrigo prefers Russia” – agent

Football agent Juan Manuel Arandilla, representing Orlando City defender Rodrigo Schlegel, told Sport24 that the 25-year-old Argentine wants to play for Lokomotiv, despite offers from Serie A and the Portuguese Championship.
– We are negotiating with Lokomotiv. They are making serious progress. The club showed real interest. Rodrigo Schlegel really wants to play in such a great team as Lokomotiv. But I don’t want to create false expectations and get ahead of myself.
We really like the idea of playing in Russia. Of course, besides Lokomotiv, there is interest from one big team from Portugal and two teams from Serie A. But Schlegel prefers to play in Russia. Rodrigo loves Russian football very much and is ready to play in this league without thinking about the internal state of affairs in the country and the absence of European cups. Lokomotiv is a very big team. This is an aspiration for Rodrigo,” the agent said.
The 25-year-old defender appeared in 37 games for Orlando City in all competitions last season, scoring two goals.
