Lomberts called Arshavin the best Russian teammate

Former Zenit defender Nicholas Lomberts told Sport24 that forward Andrey Arshavin is his best former teammate among Russians.
– Do you like Andrei Arshavin as a person?
– Yes. I never had any problems with Andrey,” Lomberts said. – This is definitely the best Russian player I’ve played with. I think he could squeeze more out of his career. He could become a key player for Arsenal. Yes, just getting there is an achievement. But staying at this level is much more difficult. I’m sure he could have stayed there longer. Or even play in a team more serious than Arsenal. Why it didn’t work, I don’t know.
The Belgian footballer played for Zenit from 2007 to 2017, becoming a four-time Russian champion and winning the UEFA Cup.
