Instead of Pele, another player was “buried”. How is that at all?

Fans express their condolences … to the former footballer of the Italian national team. He didn’t even think about dying.

The death of the great and legendary Brazilian football player Pele shocked the whole world without reference to sports. Condolences on the death of the King of Football were expressed by people of different professions and nationalities. Among them are a huge number of celebrities not only from the world of sports. But hardly anyone would have thought that condolences would affect the Italian footballer, whom the fans “buried” on social networks.

How could this even happen?

Cute photo and creepy comments

The thing is that the ex-striker of the Italian national team is called Graziano Pelle. The extra letter in the surname compared to the Brazilian football legend did not bother the huge number of people who climbed into the comments on the athlete. Gratiano posted a cute Christmas photo with a tree, but he couldn’t imagine what was going to happen next. His social media was flooded with comments like this:

“Anyone who thinks Maradona is better than Pele is wrong. We will miss you,” wrote _tarqui_ou.

“We will miss you,” said nadir7_7x.

“Teach the angels how to take penalties,” suggested the maddalunocristian.

Rest in peace, Pele. My favorite Southampton player, cianfeely wrote.

“Farewell, champion,” said jr_rhl.

“Farewell, the best player of all time,” wrote walter_schiavo.

“Damn Trolls”

And there are not even hundreds of such messages, but probably thousands or tens of thousands. And the word RIP (“Rest in Peace”) is the most common. But even in such a stream of messages, there were still comments from people who tried to reason with the others and explain that this is not the Pele who died the day before at the age of 82.

– But why do you write RIP under the photo of Graziano Pelle, if another Pele died? But can’t you see that he is 37 years old and actually white? — said angelop2006.

“I don’t believe people who sympathize at all, they are damn trolls,” said francebiacnchi23.

It’s hard to disagree with the last comment. Either the people who wrote condolences are very stupid, or they deliberately decided to mock the Italian player because of the similarity of the last name to the King of Football.

In general, Graziano is also a very famous football player. In addition to playing at home, he managed to play for Feyenoord in the Netherlands and Southampton in the Premier League. It was the game for the English club that in many ways opened the way for him to the national team and allowed him to play in the final part of the European Championship 2016. There the Italians reached the quarterfinals, and Graziano became the top scorer. I would like to believe that the story with Pele will not spoil his mood for the Christmas and New Year holidays.
