Day of Pele’s death was one of the worst in football history, says Capello

“It is very sad, the whole world is mourning today. Pele was an amazing player, one of the best in history. My condolences to his family and all of Brazil. Today is one of the worst days in football history. I remember playing against him – Pele was always good, one of the best opponents in my life, – said Capello.

Pele is the only three-time world football champion (1958, 1962, 1970). He played 92 matches for Brazil and scored 77 goals. At the club level, the striker played for the Brazilian Santos and New York Cosmos.
